ATTENDANCE POLICY

Students absent will not be admitted to the class on the next day without a note from the parent addressed to the class teacher, stating the reason for the absence. If sick they should bring medical certificate from their doctor on joining school. Leave for going out of station should be approved by the principal prior to proceeding on leave. Repeated absence without leave or unexplained absence for more than five consecutive days renders the student liable to have his or her name struck of the roll. Re-admission may be granted only on payment of fresh admission fee and is at the discretion of the principal There is no provision for half a day leave, therefore students who are not well should not be sent to school even on the days of assessments. The child will be marked absent if she/he were to be taken home by parents/guardians/Authorized persons during schools hours, even if it were to be an assessment day. The child will be awarded a zero forthe assessment taken on that particular day.

Code of conduct and general rules

Observance of the following is compulsory for all students. 

  1. A student must carry his Almanac to school every day. It must have his/her photograph and complete identity information signed by parents. Almanac must be signed by parents every day.
  2. All students must assemble for morning assembly at 8:55 am. Students who come to school by their own transport should arrive 10 minutes before the school bell rings. No student has the permission to commute to school on self-driven two or four wheelers.
  3. Students should be neatly dressed. The school uniform has to be worn on every working day. Shoes should be cleaned regularly. Wearing of caps during outdoor activities will help to protect children from sun. Student should trim their nails and hair regularly. Coloring or bleaching of hair is not permitted. Girls are not allowed to apply henna on their hands. They are not allowed to wear earrings or rings on fingers or nose rings. However, one pair of small ear studs is permitted. Student will not be allowed to wear different shades of contact lenses.
  4. Late comers, children who do not come in full uniform will be sent home. In this case parents will be asked to come to school to collect their children. 
  5. Students are expected to respect the property of others. This includes respect for school property. No student should damage any school furniture, write or draw anything on the walls or furniture or in any way damage things belongings to others. Damage done even by accident should be reported at onceto the class teacher. Any damage done will be made good by the one who causes it. Every student is a custodian of all facility available for use in the school. No student should damage, disfigure or destroy any furniture or fixture or deface the school property in any way.
  6. The school is not responsible for loss of any goods. Expensive gadgets like I-pod, mp3 players, and Mobile phones are strictly prohibited. In case of violation this rule the gadgets will be confiscated. Students must not carry money, gold or silver articles. The school bears no responsibility if any of the above are lost in school. Students from class VIII onwards are permitted to wear simple watches. Students are not permitted to wear expensive/sporty/fancy/electronic watches with calculators etc. 
  7. Students are not allowed to bring any weapons of sharp instruments, such as blades, knives, paper scalpels, scissors etc., to school. 
  8. Students are not allowed to celebrate their birthday or any other occasion in school with cake, snacks and cold drinks. Please refrain from giving gifts/ sweets to teachers and classmates. However if you wish you give a plant or book to the school on your birthday. 
  9.  Students who come to school in the care of servants or any other guardian should never leave before their escort arrives. In case of delay they should report to the school office.
  10. Every student must carry his/her snacks, lunch, water bottle, a napkin and a small table-mat. The name, class and section of the pupil should be neatly marked on all belongings of the pupil. The school is committed to protect the environment and expects its students to be environment friendly in all their actions. The use of plastic is therefore, strictly prohibited in the school and students should consciously avoid their use for any purpose. 
  11.  Parents and guardians cannot visit their wards or teachers in the class room without prior permission of the Principal. 
  12. Once the student enters the school premises, they cannot leave without the explicit written permission of the principal, in case they violate this rule, strict disciplinary action will be taken. Student must not miss any teaching/games/library/activity period.
  13. Out station trips should be strictly avoided on school working days, and no permission will be granted to leave school to board a flight/train/bus etc. 
  14. The school reserves the rights to suspend students whose conduct is found to be unsatisfactory. 
  15.  No students shall indulge in any of the following practices. a. Spitting in or near to the school building. b. Rude behaviour. c. Use of violence in any form. 
  16. . Attendance is compulsory on the first and last working day of every term and a total attendance of 80% is mandatory.
  17.  In the interest of their own security, students are advised not to buy or receive any articles, gifts or foodstuffs from anyone at all en route. 
  18. Celebrating festivals with crackers and colours in school or in school bus is prohibited. 
  19. Every student is required to contribute towards the cleanliness and maintenance of his/her classroom and school premises.
